Synthesis of views on issues relevant to the consideration of carbon dioxide capture. This document has been prepared to support the consideration of carbon dioxide capture and geological storage as project activities under the clean development mechanism, in response to the conclusion of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, as contained in the report on its twenty-seventh session (FCCC/SBSTA/2007/16). In highlighting the technical, methodological, legal and policy issues, the note synthesizes the views of Parties contained in document FCCC/SBSTA/2007/MISC.18 and Add.1 and 2 and of intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations posted on the UNFCCC website

Views on the status of implementation of Article 4, paragraph 8, of the Convention, decision 5/CP.7 and decision 1/CP.10. Submissions from Parties. The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), at its twenty-seventh session, invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 21 March 2008, their views on the status of implementation referred to in decision 1/CP.10, paragraph 22. The SBI requested the secretariat to compile these submissions into a miscellaneous document for consideration by the SBI at its twenty-eighth session, with a view to providing input to the consideration of terms of reference for the assessment referred to in decision 1/CP.10, paragraph 22 (FCCC/SBI/2007/34, para. 62). The secretariat has received five such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are attached and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing

At its twenty-fifth session, the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, before its twenty-eighth session, their views on further activities undertaken under the Nairobi work programme on impacts, vulnerability and adaptation to climate change, based on the experience with the implementation of the work programme.
